Bird watchers will want to gather at the Adams Wildlife Sanctuary – located at 2315 E. Clear Lake Ave. in Springfield -every Thursday morning at 8:00 to record sightings of resident and fall migratory birds.
Illinois Audubon Society member Matt Hayes will lead the groups, which are free and open to the public.
Sightings will be submitted to Cornell’s eBird database.
Hikes begin at the parking lot, and will take place through October 19.
