Lincoln Land Community College will be hosting a honey harvest demonstration a week from today, on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:00 in the morning.
Led by Dave Cox – Lincoln Land Community College professor of biology – and members of the Prairie State and Lincoln Land Beekeepers Associations, the process of honey extraction from beehives will be demonstrated at LLCC’s West Lake Nature Grove, 2321 West Lake Shore Drive, Springfield; participants can even help with the extraction process, plus sample the raw honey.
The event is free and open to the public. Long-sleeved shirts and long pants are required.
