The number of people hospitalized with COVID in Illinois has hit a new all-time high.

As of Monday, nearly 63-hundred people with COVID were in hospitals around the state, eclipsing the previous record of just under 62-hundred set in November of 2020. Governor JB Pritzker says most of the people hospitalized with severe cases of COVID are unvaccinated, and he continues to urge people to get the shot and a booster when eligible.

Meanwhile, state officials are warning that some pop-up testing sites around the state may be a scam… and say you should check in advance to find out what lab they use for their tests and how long it will take to get your results.
