Illinois lawmakers will unlikely be able to pass legislation that would eliminate the sub-minimum wage for tipped workers before the spring legislative session ends Friday.

The bill hasn’t been called to a vote in either chamber. The
proposed bill would phase out the subminimum wage over a two-year period.

Chicago voted to eliminate subminimum wage last year.
