40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade set to hit Downtown Springfield this Saturday

The 40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to downtown Springfield with a theme of “Irish Pubs and Folklore” at noon on Saturday; close to 100 entries are expected.

The parade generally draws 10,000 to 15,000 people
to the downtown area each year.

The parade steps off from the Horace Mann parking lot at noon and heads west on Jefferson to Fifth Street, south on Fifth to Monroe Street, east on Monroe to Sixth Street, north on Sixth to Washington Street, and east on Washington to Ninth Street, where it will conclude.
