Mental Health Monday: Purpose [VIDEO]

Mental Health Monday

I’ve always had a hard time understanding my “Purpose” in life. Growing up in a Catholic household, it was easier to understand purpose in a religious context, but these aren’t knew thoughts – thinking back to being a kid, I can remember contemplating this. You know… the questions MOST of us ask ourselves: Why am I here? What am I meant to do? Is it just us here in the universe?

Well, as I’ve grown into an adult, these questions have never really gone away. It’s really frustrating because you think when you’re younger, when you become an adult, you’ll have ALL the answers. Sadly… not true.

If you struggle from these thoughts, don’t worry, I’ve found these questions are something everybody feels. Weather they ask them or not, it’s human to wonder about the bigger picture. It’s normal to look at your life and compare it to others. We’re kind of raised to feel this way.

There is something I do to help when these thoughts start to creep in, and I don’t have the energy to give it thought at the moment. I just sit and realize that my experience is mine – no one else’s. I am so unique in a world of billions of other humans, there is no other me. If you can sit with that thought for a while, you begin to realize the importance of your existence – If not just only to you.

As per usual, if you need to reach out about anything, my email is Rocki@wnns.com. I’m always here for you.

Check out this week’s  happy fun good times video!
