2024 Fight For Air Climb raises around $75,000 to support research and education of lung disease and issues

Nearly 200 people, more than 500 steps, and around $75,000 raised. Stair-climbers gathered in Springfield this past weekend to help support people living with lung disease throughout the state.

On Saturday, 179 climbers of all skill levels
gathered at the Wyndham City Centre for the 2024 Fight For Air Climb Springfield.

They scaled 32 floors with the goal of raising awareness and money for the 1.4 million Illinoisans who fight lung disease, which includes conditions like lung cancer, COPD, and asthma.

The funds are slated to go toward the American Heart Association’s lung disease research, education, and
advocacy.
