The New Year should be all fun and games! You have a “clean slate” and should have nothing but positive things to look forward to… and then there’re the rest of us. It can be tough, especially with these New Year resolutions we’re supposed to keep! Remember, you still have self-worth and value EVEN IF you skip leg day.

That’s a big point of stress for me – the feeling you get when you know you should be going to the gym, but don’t have the care or want go. It’s not too uncommon for people to feel this way, especially when going to the gym has never been in your normal routine. However, it IS ok to miss.

There is a fine line between pushing yourself too hard – or just enough. There will be day’s when you have no interest in your resolutions, or “new lifestyle” but going anyways builds character and pushes you out of your comfort zone. The thing to remember is, if every once in a while you don’t make it to the gym – don’t give up. Continue with the routine and differences will happen over time. It may not be all at once, but over time, you will see change!
