The Springfield Police recently made a firearm and narcotics arrest in the 3000 block of Lakeshire Drive.
On January 5, the SPD Street Crimes Unit and the Pro-Active Crime Unit served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Lakeshire Drive.
Prior to the warrant being served, the officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect, who has been identified as 25-year-old Dalton Ridgeway-Williams of Springfield.
The traffic stop yielded a large amount of currency, while Ridgeway-Williams was detained as a warrant was served at the residence – all without incident.
Rideway-Williams was ultimately arrested for being an armed habitual criminal, delivery of cannabis over 5000 grams, unlawful possession of a weapon, and armed violence; the investigation, moreover, resulted in the recovery of 3 firearms, 23.46 pounds of cannabis, 3 pounds
of THC wax and $44,477.
