Mental Health Mondays: Holiday Shopping [VIDEO]

Mental Health Monday

Holiday shopping can cause more than just stress throughout the holiday season, especially if you have a tough family or group of friends to buy for. Not to mention the fact that, for some, finances are less than ideal for holiday spending.

This can be a time of real anxiety and mental health crisis. If you are put into a mindset of I’m not good enough, or no one would want what I can afford to give them, things can start to feel really bad. Well, here are a couple things you can do.

First of all, if your family and friends have a good head on their shoulders, gifts should not just hold their value from how much was spent to acquire them. Someone should be able to receive and enjoy a gift from the heart when it comes to people close to them in their life.

If your family and friends are only the type to care about monetary value, you have one of two decisions; you can lose them as friends OR tell them you can’t afford a gift you think they would like and let that stew with them for a bit.

What I’m trying to say is when it comes down to it – the only things that really matter  are our health and the people we love and who love us. If you take time and write a customized letter to the ones you really love and tell them why you love them, this should be extremely special. Nothing matters more than knowing you are loved and why. So if things are tight this year, grab a piece of paper and a pen and take time to write out a heartfelt letter to those you love.  I hope you have a nice and most of all peaceful holiday!

As per usual, if you ever need anyone to reach out to, get in touch. I am always here for you. Email me at Rocki@wnns.com. You can email any time and I will get back to you.

Please enjoy this week’s happy fun, good time video!
