Mental Health Monday: Holiday Limbo [VIDEO]

Mental Health Monday

Well, my friends – Thanksgiving is now in the past. As we look forward to Christmas, we try to find a bit of normalcy  before it all spirals out of control again at the end of December to the beginning of the new year. It’s a great time of year, but also tough. Everything seems to be shocked: our schedules, diets, workout schedule etc.

It’s important to stay self-aware with your mind and your anxiety. I’m really pushing use of music during this time. If things start to boil up and that nasty anxiety monster start to grumble, stop what you are doing (if you can) close the door, turn off the lights and throw on a song you know gets you in a great mood. If you are at home and have some down time, do this with visual as well. This is a great way to hit the reset button and ground you.

Again, this is always easier said than done. I will say it has been effective for me. So try to enjoy this time, even though seemingly it seems hard. As per usual, you always have me as a person to reach out to.

Reach out to Rocki@wnns.com whenever you need. I’ll be there.

Here is this week’s feel good fun time video!
