This Saturday, the Sangamon Mass Transit District is offering free rides to everyone in honor of our nation’s veterans.
Managing Director Steve Schoeffel believes waiving fares for all fixed route passengers rather than just veterans will honor them in a bigger way, and that the gesture reminds all passengers that it is Veterans Day.
