Academy Sports + Outdoor have set a date for the grand opening of their brand new Springfield location as well as announcing deals and special appearances through the weekend.
Company officials have shared that the store will open on November 17, located at 3211 South Veterans Parkway in the Southwest Plaza III shopping center. A soft opening is scheduled for the week of November 13, which will conclude with a ‘give-back’ event on November 16.
Academy Sports + Outdoor occupies the former space used by Gordmans, which closed in 2020. Sports Authority used to have a store located in the plaza until 2016.
Guest appearances and special deals are set to be announced in the next few weeks.
