SPD Chief Scarlette announces arrest in Tuesday morning’s non-fatal shooting in the capital city

Springfield Police Chief Ken Scarlette has announced an arrest in the Tuesday morning shooting in the 1600 block of E. Reynolds Street, where a male victim had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hip.

Police arrested 20-year-old Tyrese Thornton and charged him with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, and domestic battery.

Anyone with information concerning this shooting is asked to call the Springfield Police Department or Crimestoppers.
