Gov. JB Pritzker has written a letter to President Biden complaining about a lack of federal funding for the care of asylum seekers in the city of Chicago.
He also complained about the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border.
According to Pritzker, one challenge is the chaos some governors have created by busing asylum seekers to other parts of the country, including Illinois, without prior notice or coordination, including unannounced arrivals in the middle of the night.
