Springfield man sentenced to over five years from feds for weapons possession and drug manufacturing

A Springfield man, was recently sentenced to just over five years in prison stemming from firearm possession and manufacturing methamphetamine.

On September 5, 2023, Senior U.S. District Judge Sue E. Myerscough sentenced Matthew Morlee – 46 – to 60 months and one day in prison for drug and weapons charges.

Morlee was first indicted on these charges in September 2018, and pleaded guilty in May 2023. After his initial release on bond, Morlee’s bond was subsequently revoked, and he was detained in the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
