This year’s Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off event will occur on Saturday, September 30 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and will be open to all Illinois residents.
However, anyone wishing to drop off Household Hazardous Waste must sign up for an appointment online and print a voucher, which must be presented to officials.
Individuals will be able to sign up on the City of Springfield website by visiting www.springfield.il.us/hhw.
There is no word on whether the city plans to make the procedure easier and more convenient in the future.
