There are a ton of things to be excited about here in Springfield. One of them, I recently re discovered after interviewing the owner, Kristina Barbee on my morning show. Ad Astra – It’s a brand new wine bar downtown on Adams next to one of my normal spots, JP Kelly’s.
I was down at the farmers market a couple weekends ago, when my wife and I made our way so our backs were right 
up against the entrance of the wine bar. It was so hot that day, and the AC rushing out of the building felt too good not to acknowledge. We turned around and instantly we noticed the inside.
We walked in and were quickly greeted by the friendly bartender. We timidly walked in, as we were both impressed with how nice the décor was and we were a little sweaty from our walk. We instantly started asking questions about different aspects of the bar. From the lighting and wall art, to the seating and bar, there are so many interesting pieces to talk about.
When we left, we called Sarah and her husband Bryan to see if they wanted to go later that night. We met up that evening at sat for hours enjoying their diverse menu including a massive cheese board that had everything you’d want. It also had a couple vegan cheeses which I NEVER imagined I would like. All of it was well catered and super tasty. It’s a 10 out of 10 and it’s a new place to bring visitors to show off the capitol city.
