A trip to the Opening Day of this year’s Illinois State Fair could give you a chance to return to the fair the next week at a lower cost.
Fair officials have announced a new promotion that they say will let you “double your fun” at the fair.
Anyone who attends Opening Day on Thursday, August 10, and pays to park on the fairgrounds will get a voucher for free parking that can be redeemed on Tuesday through Thursday of the following week.
That could cut your price to come back for Grandstand shows, including REO Speedwagon or Tim McGraw, the Sale of Champions on Wednesday the 16, or the discount prices on Tuesday the 15, with $2 admission for adults and seniors and $2 carnival rides.
