The Sangamon County Coroner has released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a passenger vehicle Saturday.
45-year-old Thomas Thompson was pronounced dead at Springfield Memorial Hospital shortly after that crash at West Lawrence and South Walnut.
An autopsy confirmed Thompson died of injuries sustained in the crash; police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
