Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski says she’s still working to secure millions of dollars in additional funding for ongoing work on the 10th Street rail consolidation project.

Budzinski and a White House advisor visited Springfield Friday to tour some of the work being done on the multi-year project.

She says she’s seeking an additional $138 million for the project, which includes construction of additional underpasses to ease congestion from the freight and passenger trains on the combined rail corridor.

Budzinski also visited the site of a proposed monument to the 1908 race riots, another project for which she is seeking federal funding.
