WMAY’s Last Night-in-Sports Report: 04/13/2023

The Chicago Bulls were down 19 pts to the Raptors in the 3rd quarter last night in Toronto yet were able to come all the way back and become the first 10th seed to win a play in game with a 109-105 victory. Zach LaVine led the way for the Bulls scoring 30 of his 39 pts in the 2nd half.

The Bulls now travel to Miami to take on the Heat tomorrow night. Win that game and the Bulls become the 8th seed and will take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.

NHL last night the St. Louis Blues fell at home to the Dallas Stars 5-2. The Blues wrap up their season tonight in Dallas against the Stars.

Also wrapping up their season tonight are the Chicago Blackhawks as they host the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck drop scheduled for 7:30p CT

Meanwhile, in MLB yesterday the Chicago White Sox fell to the Twins in Minnesota 3-1 the final. The Sox host the Baltimore Orioles tomorrow night at the Rate.

Elsewhere the Seattle Mariners beat the Cubs at Wrigley 5-2. Cody Bellinger homered and drove in the Cubs only runs of the contest. Cubs are in LA tomorrow to take on the Dodgers.

Jordan Walker kept his hit streak alive as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Rockies in Colorado 7-4 the final. Tyler O’Neil, Nolan Arenado, and Nolan Gorman all homered for the Cards in the victory. Cards host the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at Busch.
