Springfield will have some new faces on the City Council across the next four years alongside the new mayor.

Joining new Mayor Misty Buscher on the City Council will be new Ward 4 Alderman Larry Rockford – as well as Roy Williams Jr of Ward 3 and Jennifer Notoriano of Ward 6, who won the open seat vacated by Kristin DiCenso and contested by Alyssa Haaker.

LaKeisha Purchase of Ward 5 also won, giving her a full term in office as a result. Meanwhile, Brad Carlson won his aldermanic race in Ward 7, meaning that he’s taking over for the term-limited Joe McMenamin in that section of town; five other incumbents ran unopposed for new four-year terms.

In school board news, Micah Miller has prevailed in his subdistrict 2 contest, just as Sarah Blissett – Subdistrict 3  -and Ken Gilmore – Subdistrict 4 – were able to; three other incumbents ran unopposed, and Debra Iams was unopposed for the open Subdistrict 7 seat.
