New Explorer Passport launched by Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau today

Starting today, the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau is launching a program known as the New Explorer Passport for all those wishing to explore the endless history, attractions and amusements of Mr. Lincoln’s hometown themselves.

The passport – allowing for the holder to see 25 unique, Springfield landmarks, museums, historical homes, and chunks of history – is available to those visiting individuals, as well as residents too. The sites, landmarks and points of interest – for the Hat Hunt and otherwise – are listed below; we sincerely hope to see you at all of the sites with your New Explorer Passport in hand!

The Explorer Passport is intended to help enhance the visitor experience by making available 25 activities, including meeting our local Living Legends and by participating in a scavenger hunt for Abe’s hats.  Showcasing this many high quality, affordable options to visit helps to emphasize the fact that Springfield truly is “More Than One Day.”
