As per the City of Springfield and its Office of Public Works, East Washington Street between 6th and 7th Streets will be closed completely on Monday, March 20.
The closure is for sewer repairs and other work occurring in the area; The closure will last through Friday, March 24, with partial lanes reopening by the weekend. Motorists should be aware there will be no parking, nor access to parking, on Washington.
