SIU Medicine in Springfield is expanding telehealth services to assist people who test positive for COVID-19.
If you test positive for the virus through a home or clinic-based test, you can call SIU Medicine seven days a week to set up a telehealth appointment.
After gathering information, the medical provider may be able to prescribe the anti-viral drug Paxlovid or other treatments for the patient.
The service is available by calling 217-545-5100 from 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, or 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
