The Sangamon County Coroner has identified the victim of a fatal car crash Friday in Springfield.
42-year-old Camron Yates was killed when his car ran off the road on East Lake Shore Drive just before 2 am Friday, striking several trees.
Yates was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy showed he died of multiple blunt-force injuries.
Yates was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Police are still investigating what led up to the crash.
