While not all will be lucky enough to win the lottery in their lifetime, two individuals from Illinois won nearly half-a-million dollars on Wednesday night.
Matching all five numbers – 16-21-26-41-43 – the winnings tickets were sold in Clinton and Peoria. Of the more than 55,000 winners from last nights drawing, nearly $1.1 million dollars were won.
The owner of one of the places where a winning ticket was sold – Beachler’s Vehicle Care and Repair – noted the following.
“I had no idea we had sold a winning ticket, but we had an uncommonly big day yesterday in lottery ticket sales. I think it might be because a lot of people associate March with St Patrick’s Day and the Luck of the Irish.”
