The Illinois Department of Transportation recently announced that it will be resurfacing the Illinois 4 bridge in Thayer beginning on Monday – which is slated to continue until August.
Between Harrison Avenue and Elm Street in Thayer, the bridge will be reduced to a single lane – meaning a maximum width of 15′ 3″.
Other improvements alongside the resurfacing include new guardrails, new pavement marking; the project looks to improve and further maintain road surfaces on the bridge for years to come.
WMAY will have further updates to the story as more emerge!
