One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Springfield.
Police say the car ran off the roadway in the 13-hundred block of East Lake Shore Drive just before 2 am, striking several trees.
Only one person was in the vehicle, and that individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, but are asking anyone with information about the wreck to call Springfield Police or Crimestoppers.
