A Springfield man has been sentenced to five years in prison on federal drug and gun charges.

46-year-old Jason Craig was arrested as part of a multi-agency investigation involving Springfield Police, Illinois State Police, and federal DEA and ATF agents.

The investigation was part of the federal Project Safe Neighborhoods crime reduction initiative.

Craig pleaded guilty last year to charges of possession of cocaine and crack with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm as part of a drug trafficking crime.
