A Springfield man has been confined to his home for 30 days for comments he made to the press after his conviction for his role in the January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

The State Journal-Register reports the judge in the case handed down the new restrictions after Thomas Adams said he wouldn’t change anything he did on that day and didn’t feel like he had done what he was convicted of.

Adams was convicted of obstructing an official proceeding and other charges after stipulating to the facts of the case laid out by the government.

The home confinement order still allows Adams to leave his home for work, medical appointments, or church services while he awaits sentencing in June.
