A big new addition is planned for Robin Roberts Stadium. The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes baseball team announced Monday that it has commissioned a 450-square-foot video board for their North End ballpark.
The team says the video board will enhance the fan experience by offering real-time stats, headshots of players, live “fan-cam” footage, and digital advertising for the team’s partners. Ace Sign Company is creating the sign, which will stand more than 14 feet high and 32 feet across.
It will be topped with the Lucky Horseshoes name in neon. The sign will be installed in May, just before the start of the 2023 season.
