More than a billion dollars is up for grabs in the next couple of days in the multi-state lottery games.
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth at least $785 million to a single winner… or a lump-sum cash option of $395 million before taxes. And there was another rollover Monday night in the Powerball game, which now climbs to $291 million for Wednesday’s drawing. That would translate to a lump sum of nearly $148 million.
In either case, the odds of winning are roughly 1 in 300 million.
