In his final few days in office, Congressman Rodney Davis is expressing frustration with some in his party for failing to encourage more early voting and voting by mail in last month’s election.

Davis was not on the ballot in November after losing his Republican primary in June to fellow GOP Representative Mary Miller. But appearing live on WMAY, he said some in the party actively discouraged mail-in voting during the election… singling out the party’s nominee for governor, Darren Bailey, by name.

Davis says Republicans have to do a better job of finding candidates who can win statewide general elections. But Davis says he is not planning on running for anything at the moment, although he won’t rule out that possibility in the future.
