Two major business groups are backing Republican Regan Deering in the 13th Congressional District race.
Both the Illinois and U.S. Chambers of Commerce endorsed Deering during a press event Wednesday morning in Springfield. The Chambers of Commerce say Deering is a pro-business candidate who supports fiscal responsibility and policies that will foster economic growth.
Deering is facing Democrat Nikki Budzinski for the open seat in the 13th District.
