A third person is now facing charges in connection with an incident late last year that left one police officer dead and another critically wounded in Northern Illinois.

Police had gone to the Comfort Inn in Bradley on December 29th for a report of dogs barking in an unattended vehicle. During that call, Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic was fatally shot and Officer Tyler Bailey sustained serious wounds. Two suspects, Darius Sullivan and Xandria Harris, were charged with first-degree murder.

Now 22-year-old Xander Harris is charged with obstruction of justice and concealing or aiding a fugitive. He is now in custody on $75,000 bond.
