Kids at Hazel Dell elementary school have been surprised with new bikes, thanks to a $5,000 donation by Cross Country Chase.
The cross-country vintage motorcycle event departs from Springfield this week. 24 bikes were donated as part of the national All Kids Bike movement… which will help to implement a Learn to Ride program at the school. Cross Country Chase assembled at Hazel Dell on Wednesday morning and built the bikes before presenting them to the students.
Cross Country Chase founder Jason Sims says that the number of children riding bikes as well as adults riding motorcycles is declining, and it’s important to keep kids active and riding.
