A woman is dead after an early-morning car crash in Springfield.
Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon says the 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck in the 800 block of West Monroe just before 4:30am Friday. An autopsy is being conducted.
The woman’s name was not immediately released pending notification of next of kin.
