All three public high schools in Springfield will have to play their football games at Southeast High School this fall… because of delays in the renovations at Memorial Stadium.

Memorial is getting a major upgrade, but supply chain problems have prevented the district from getting the new fuse box that will control lights and other electrical components at the stadium. Superintendent Jennifer Gill says that equipment was ordered three months ago… but is currently on a “50-week back order.”

Gill says the district is “sprucing up” Spartan Field so that it will be ready to host home games for Southeast, Springfield, and Lanphier this fall.
