There has been an uptick in COVID-19 cases at the Quincy Veterans’ home.
Rapid testing has shown 16 residents and 10 staff of the home have tested positive for COVID-19. In the last few days, four veterans went to the emergency department out of caution and two remain hospitalized for conditions unrelated to COVID-19. Communal dining and activities have been curtailed in affected areas until the outbreak ends.
All positive residents have been vaccinated and 11 of the 16 veterans are up to date with their boosters.
