The Levitt AMP concert series returns Thursday to Springfield’s North Mansion Y Block, and local leaders are hoping the weekly summertime concerts will remain a fixture downtown for many years to come.
The concerts have been boosted by grants from the Levitt AMP foundation, renewed annually. Now participating groups are competing for a three-year grant to lock in a long-term commitment to the event.
Springfield could be eligible for up to three of the three-year grants, which would ensure the concert series continues into the next decade.
