Authorities are investigating a boat explosion at a Northern Illinois marina that injured 14 people.
The boat was docked at Springbrook Marina on the Illinois River in LaSalle Saturday afternoon with 17 people on board. It had just been refueled when something exploded inside the vessel.
13 people on the boat and one marina employee were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of them was flown to a Chicago hospital in critical condition. Crews were working Sunday to remove the sunken boat from the water as the investigation continues.
