A leading Illinois police organization is making some endorsements for the upcoming June primary.

The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge is backing Republican Dan Brady for secretary of state. Brady is facing former Sangamon County State’s Attorney and U.S. Attorney John Milhiser in the GOP primary. In a statement, the FOP says it chose Brady because of what it calls his “unwavering lifetime support for law enforcement.” Meanwhile, the state FOP has also endorsed Thomas DeVore over Steve Kim in the Republican primary for attorney general. DeVore announced the endorsement last week on social media.

The FOP confirms that it is backing DeVore, but has not put out a statement about the endorsement.
