A Springfield weight loss clinic is trying a new approach as it moves into a new home.
The Memorial Wellness Center officially opens Monday in its new facility at 320 East Carpenter, near the new north end YMCA. The center was established in 2013, and helps patients battle obesity and related health problems with both surgical and non-surgical strategies.
The new facility includes a state-of-the-art kitchen as part of the center’s emphasis on “culinary medicine,” helping clients develop healthier food preparation and consumption habits as part of their approach to weight loss.
