Sangamon-Menard Crimestoppers is seeking the public’s help to find the killer in a February homicide in Springfield.

The body of 57-year-old Kim Coleman was found in her home in the 500 block of North 12th Street on Feburary 14th. Police had gone to the home to conduct a welfare check. Coroner Jim Allmon says Coleman died of a stab wound. The victim’s name and cause of death had not been initially released at the time of the crime, but Allmon put out the information this week after Crimestoppers highlighted the case as its “crime of the week.”

Anyone with information on the death can contact Crimestoppers at 217-788-8427 or at cashfortips.us.
