It’s looking more likely that you could be in the path of severe storms this week.

The National Weather Service says most of Central Illinois is under an “enhanced” risk of severe weather on Wednesday, with large hail, 60 to 70 mile an hour winds, and tornadoes all possible. The biggest risk will be Wednesday afternoon and evening. The weather service says the risk is greater to the south of Springfield, in communities like Carbondale and Litchfield. There is a smaller chance of severe weather Tuesday evening.
