A major storm system is developing that could bring severe weather to parts of the Midwest… including the Springfield area… over the next few days.
The National Weather Service says the severe storm risk will begin Monday night in some parts of Illinois, especially in Southern Illinois, south of Interstate 70. Right now, Wednesday could have the biggest chance of strong storms locally.
The Weather Service says it’s a good idea to brush up on your severe weather plans and to periodically check the forecast over the next several days for updates.
