A Sangamon County judge has once again declared that vaccination and testing requirements are the equivalent of a “quarantine,” and says the state’s largest school district cannot impose such rules without due process.
Judge Raylene Grischow on Friday granted a temporary restraining order against Chicago Public Schools, prohibiting them from enforcing the vaccination-or-testing mandate against employees who sued over the requirement. Grischow’s ruling says the plaintiffs could suffer “irreparable injury” if the CPS policy remains in place.
The restraining order will remain in effect until the case goes to trial.
