The University of Illinois Springfield has entered into an agreement with the University of Illinois Chicago to allow UIS students to get a bachelor’s degree and a law degree in six years, instead of the usual seven.

A select number of students will be admitted to the program, which will allow UIS undergrads to enroll in law school after their third year at UIS. The first 30 hours of law school coursework would also apply toward the UIS bachelor’s degree.

Acceptance to the program will be based on multiple factors, including Law School Admission Test or similar test scores, along with academic record, letters of recommendation, and writing samples.
